T1 - Cedar - Fell one large Cedar in group of three, situated between Skipwith Cottages and Sports Hall. Mature large tree is positioned within fenced garden in close proximity to driveway, buildings and high volume pedestrian area. Rooting area largely covered with Astro Turf. Cauliflower fungus fruiting bodies historically noted. Recent Arb Report found trees lower stem to be greatly compromised. Probably with large areas of decay in various stages (attachment included T37 in Arb Report) I believe the evidence indicates tree is currently in a very precarious position.  T2 & T3 - Cedars - Two Large Cedar trees in group of three, situated between Skipwith Cottages and Sports Hall. - Reduce crowns from T2 & T3 by approximately 20%, equivalent to removing an average of 2.5m from side growth. Up to 3.5m might be removed from branches protruding out from crown the furthest. - Nothing to be removed from the trees height on mane stem, but up to 3m will be removed from secondary growth growing out upwardly.

T3 Beech: Following results of aerial inspection, fell tree to just above ground level. The tree features 2x major cavities at 8m and 10m, both on the compression side of the tree. Resonance hammering indicates the hollowing between these cavities is linked, and presents a hazard in this situation, given that the tree leans over the village hall. See enclosed results of aerial inspection.

Ipsden Memorial Hall, Fir Close, Ipsden, OX10 6AH

    Received 6 Nov 2023
  18. Decision MadeP23/S4084/TCA

T1 - Birch directly adjacent to house, remove to ground level. I recently provided a 211 notification to reduce this tree as per the applicant's request. However since then she had to renew her home insurance. She has previously had to make a subsidence claim and now the insurance company won't insure the property if 'there are any trees or shrubs in excess of 3m in height (regardless of ownership) within a 7m distance of the main structure'. As the Birch is in very close proximity to the house it requires removal so that the house can continue to be insured.

  20. Decision MadeP25/S1333/TPO

T1 - Larch Pine (appears to be dead and has previously partially fallen). I request to remove this tree as it is a health and safety issue as dead branches are falling off. It appears to have been partially felled by the previous owner or council as I believe part of the Larch Pine fell in the road. I do not wish to replace this tree as it may be causing structural problems like the other trees in question. T2 - Larch Pine - I request to remove this tree as it is causing a number of structural problems with Larch House, please see attached structural report detailing this. I do not wish to replace with another tree as this will cause the same structural problems at Larch House in the long term. T3 - Larch Pine - I request to remove this tree as it is lifting the driveway preventing the garage door from closing along with causing structural problems detailed in the attached report. I do not wish to replace this tree for the above reasons. A new native species hedgerow is proposed to the front elevation of the property.

Larch House, The Green, Nettlebed, RG9 5AX

What these statistics cover

These figures describe applications collected by PlanningTrack for South Oxfordshire District Council, across all dates currently available. They are a partial dataset, rather than an authority-wide performance measure. The date range does not establish continuous historical coverage.

The approval percentage is approved records divided by approved plus refused records. Pending, withdrawn and unknown outcomes are excluded. No percentage is shown until there is an approved or refused record.
