Planning conditions
  1. The development hereby approved shall be completed (as defined by Part 6 of the General Permitted Development Order 2015) before the expiration of five years from the date of this permission. Reason: To comply with The Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015.
  2. The development shall be carried out in accordance with the details indicated in the following drawings/documents: - Revised north elevation - East (exisitng) and west (new replacement) elevations - Floor plan - Roof plan amended 14 August 2025. Reason : To define the plans/details to which this permission relates.
  3. The materials to be used on the agriculatural building hereby permitted shall meet the following specification and retained as such thereafter: - Stonework to match existing traditional barn - Roofing to re-use existing corrugated metal roof sheets to be painted anthracite grey (RAL 7016) with a matt finish - Yorkshire boarding to be untreated and left to weather - Doors to be of roll-up metal construction, finished in a dark grey colour with a matt finish. Reason: to ensure the design meets the guidelines within the Design Guide in accordance with SP4 of the adopted Yorkshire Dales Local Plan (2015-2030).
  4. When the development hereby approved ceases to be used for the purpose for which it was constructed, namely for agricultural purposes, it shall be demolished and removed from the site together with all ancillary equipment to leave the site clear. The site shall be restored in accordance with details first submitted to and agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Reason: To remove buildings and other features which have ceased to be used for agricultural purposes and in order for the Local Planning Authority to retain control over the land in accordance with policy BE2 of the adopted Yorkshire Dales Local Plan (2015-2030).
  5. No external lighting shall be installed on the site. Reason: To protect the dark skies of the National Park in accordance with policy SP4 of the adopted Yorkshire Dales Local Plan (2015-2030).
