The tree work consists of the felling of two birch trees and the treatment of stumps to prevent regrowth. The reason for the work is subsidence to the property, first attempted to be avoided by tree works, refused by the council in October 2009. Damage was first noted in 2011. This claim began in 2017. It should be noted that if these trees are not removed a more substantial repair of the property will be required, leading to extra costs. As a result, a compensation claim to the council is foreseeable, the magnitude of which reflects the extra costs of repair.
