  8. Decided26/00042/TPC

We have recently moved into the property and would like to remove a horse chestnut tree (pink blossom) from our garden to help with damp problems in the house and because the tree itself is suffering from rot. The tree was previously consented for removal under planning application 21/00479/TPC but was never removed - this application was made by a previous owner of the property. The original reason for removal was extensive rot. We have recently consulted a tree surgeon who agreed that it should be removed.

  9. Decided26/00043/TPO

T1: Mulberry. Reduce East aspect by 1m to allow full clearance of the boundary wall. Cuts to be made just inside the boundary, not exceeding 100mm diameter.Previous applications have permitted cuts of <30mm: this is insufficient to abate the nuisance that this tree is causing, whilst the proscriptive works i've suggested can fall well within the phenological guidance of BS3998:2010. The reduction must be made to the height of the upper canopy, with the shoulder blended in with the overall height to maintain the visual amenity of the tree when viewed from the road.

Barton Edge Worthy Road Winchester Hampshire SO23 7AG

    Received 12 Jan 2026
  10. Decided26/00044/TPO

G1- line of Cupressus and Birch trees - Fell x3 dead Birch and x 2 Live birch in terminal decline with extensive dieback and cavities on trunk from poor historic pruning wounds. No replacement trees are being considered as no room in the line for replanting. The adjoining Cupressus completely overshadow these trees and so their removal will not be visually noticeable and the overshadowing by the Cupressus has probably contributed to the Birch trees decline

  23. Decided26/00057/TPO

T1 London Plane - the request is to reduce the crown of the tree by 40% . To get the tree back into shape and under control, and reduce the large amount of branches overhanging my garden, the tree currently covers 3 gardens, causing regular issues, namely health issues (continuous cough during leaf season) due to the make of tree, leaf, seeds and loose branches that fall regularly. We are looking to reduce the crown by about 6 - 8 Metres, and even the tree as currently it is heavy on one side, namely over my garden. The work proposed is in the interests of good arboricultural management to maintain the trees health and in the interest of good tree husbandry and visual amenities in the area. The work will be undertaken by a qualified arborist with all associated health and safety regulations applied.
