Three of the floodlights would be attached to listed buildings, that is to say no's 15, 19 and 49 Maltravers Street. Details of the light fittings, control boxes and cabling are shown on the submitted plans and elevations. One of the free standing light columns would be located at the junction between Maltravers Street and New Cut, while the others would be located in front of 25 Maltravers Street. These Measures are intended to enhance the character of the conservation area and will complement repairs to the retaining wall, iron posts and railings in Maltravers Street, granted listed building consent on 16th November 1995 (Government Office for the South East Ref SEP/44/P3800/2/02.)
