Application overview

The development consists of four key elements all located in the area shown on the attached plan. Firstly a test track facility for Rail Innovation consisting of up to 3 concentric electrified 7km long loops of track, link road and maintenance facilities including sidings, run around loop, fueling line, large train shed (Up to 300m long and 40m wide), offices, welfare facilities, logistics shed and 132KV Substation, Hotel and Conference centre. Secondly a Hyperscale data Centre delivered in phases (up to 350 MW). Thirdly an Energy Park to provide thermal generation, renewable energy and battery storage to power both the rail project and Data Centre.
