Application overview
The proposal is to replace most of the existing steel framed windows and replacement of glazing to fit. The new windows will be constructed from hot-rolled W20 steel sections, to be hop-dip galvanised after manufacture and powder-coated to a colour selected from a range of semi-gloss finishes to match existing. Opening windows will be weatherstripped and hung on close-fitting hinges welded to the frame and provided with traditional brass handles and peg stays. Glazing to be composed of 18mm (4-10-4) thick sealed units, with black coloured spacer bars comprising 'Low E' glass, with Krypton gas filled cavity; all units to be fitted into the frames with silicone-faced beads
