  3. Decision MadeP18/V3359/TCA

Cherry Laurel Concerns have been raised about the berries from the cherry laurel present around the playground area being injested by a child. To this end, it is sought that the cherry trees around the perimeter of the play area are cut to the boundary of the playground and chamfered (not exceeding 30% from vertical) away at an angle to ensure regrowth doesn't overhang for some time. The entrance to the play area has a quite large copse of cherry laurel that overhangs and is quite tall for its location. For this copse a pollard/skeletal frame of the laurel present and cut to a height of 1.2m to ensure overhang into play area risk is negated. Remarks: Spec:
