Tesco, Garden Centre, Marcham Road, Abingdon, OX14 1TU

    Received 28 Mar 2022
  9. Decision MadeP22/V2656/TCA

T1 - Ceanothus - reduce height and spread by 1/2. (7m tall straddles the front corner boundary and is also very close to the front corner of my house. It is a fast growing species, hence I would plan to prune it back by 1/2 all round. I find it hard to judge the spread as it has grown irregularly and is more out of control in some directions than others, but it will end up looking balanced and proportional to the height reduction, while hopefully stopping it brushing/damaging the cladding on my house in the wind, or overhanging the boundary fence excessively. T2 - Sycamore - reduce height by 1/3. (8m tall reduce by 2.5m) T3 - Hornbeam - reduce height by 1/3. (8m tall reduce by 2.5m) T4 - Sycamore - reduce height by 1/3. (8m tall reduce by 2.5m) T5 - unknown species - reduce height by 1/3. (8m tall reduce by 2.5m) T6 - Copper beech - trim to conform in height. (1.5-2m) T7 - Sycamore - trim to conform in height. (1.5-2m) T8 - Hornbeam - trim to conform in height. (1.5-2m) T9 - Sycamore - reduce height and spread by 1/3 (8m tall reduced by 2.5m).

Erection of a single storey rear and 1.5 storey side and rear extension with dormer window

81 Meadow View Road, Kennington, Oxford, OX1 5QX

    Received 2 Apr 2025
  14. Decision MadeP22/V2302/TCA

Multi stemmed lilac tree (T1) - Fell due to negative impact being caused to drains (please see attached photo from CCTV drain survey showing roots breaching underground pipework), concerns over issues being caused to base of property / foundations and the blocking of daylight to kitchen / diner. The tree to be removed is shown in diagrams as "T1". Next to it is a more aesthetically pleasing tree shown on the diagrams as "T2". The intention is to leave T2 untouched given it is further from the property and not causing any issues. Given the reasons for felling T1 and that there is already another tree (T2) in close proximity which will benefit from the removal of T1, there is no intention to plant a replacement tree. For reference, T1 will be removed by a professional and the stump ground out. Please see ancillary document attached which shows the tree location as well as photographs of T1 and T2.
