Applying for permission to pollard six Willow stumps on Appleton Manor's land. The trees are extremely old and frail. Power lines are also close and would be damaged if trees were not managed and were to fall. Pollarding to prolong life is necessary. Recommend frequency from tree expert is to pollard every 2 years. Current growth up to 3m, regular walkers pass the are and it is also alongside a road. Without pollarding every 2 years there would be a high risk the trees would fail altogether. The following legal obligation applies: â¿¢ That the agreed works may be implemented on a regular basis, not to exceed more than once every two years for a period of up to ten years from the date of this correspondence (24th January 2032) and that a further notification will be required after this date.
