It had been one of a pair of such trees until the other tree blew down in high winds last winter. As the tree is towering over neighbouring homes, there is a concern for damage to property if the tree was also to be blown down. Many limbs have blown off the tree and there is extensive damage to paving caused by the roots. The tree is approx 15m in height. I planted a magnolia when the first eucalyptus was blown down and propose planting a further one when the eucalyptus is taken down by a tree surgeon.
