Application overview
Horse Chestnut Tree: Front Garden: Historically crown reduced to keep the tree an appropriate size for the area. Strip wounds visible on the main stem from ground level to 2 metres, multiple cavities within the crown. Re-reduce the crown back to previous reduction points 1-1.5 metres paying particular attention to the overhanging branches over the house. Remove basal and trunk suckered branches to a height of 3 metres above ground level. Ensure that the BT lines running through the crown are free of rubbing twigs and branches.
