Council planning record

T1 - Common Ash - removal due to Ash dieback. T1 is a mature Category C Common Ash located on the southern boundary of East Wilden, close to the access driveway leading onto Chapel Lane and marked on the enclosed Tree Location Plan. The tree is just 3m from the exterior wall of East Wilden and its canopy extends over the rear courtyard of East Wilden, Wilden Cottage and also over the parking area of 13 Chapel Lane (Wysteria Cottage). This ash is suffering from ash dieback and we have noted its decline over several years but were hoping it might recover. Sadly, ash dieback has taken hold and the canopy of the tree contains large amounts of deadwood which represent a danger to residents and property (given the high target area). We are regularly seeing fallen deadwood which could cause injury to residents or property (houses and vehicles). We request permission to remove this dangerous tree which is clearly in decline and currently presents a risk to 3 different households. T2 - Sycamore - removal of semi-mature tree - too close to neighbours house (roof and foundation damage). T2 is an early mature Category C sycamore, located on path leading to the gardens of East Wilden. This sycamore is a self generated tree and is located on the boundary of East Wilden and 20 Chapel Lane. Our neighbours at 20 Chapel Lane are requesting the removal of this large tree as it is positioned too close to their property and is causing them problems : - During high winds and storms they find that branches and limbs are already hitting their roof and they are increasingly concerned about storm damage to their roof. - They are also concerned about the root system of the tree causing damage to their foundations potentially causing subsidence in future years. - Additionally T2 sycamore blocks out sunlight and stops them enjoying their garden
