The tree is a mature oak set slightly east of the copse area that runs down from the main school buildings (indicated as T183) on our plans. The tree recently dropped a significant limb onto what would be (if the school was running at the time) an area of significant footfall. Due to the failed limb and the description of the current load on the remaining limbs, a careful and selective reduction of the lower limbs via a 'drop crotch' process has been recommended.
