Application overview
The tree is a Sawara Cypress, T1 in the attached arboricultural impact assessment. Proposed works: fell. I have discussed the proposed removal with neighbours from The Old Reading Room and Regis Cottage, both are in agreement. The tree has been subject to previous heavy lopping and as a result is now unsightly with no hope of regrowth in disfigured areas. it also casts heavy shade on all three properties. I would replaced with a further Malus "Sugartyme" RL150-200. Location slightly to the south east of T1, to avoid overshadowing the Old Reading Room. Marked as additional x1 Malus "Sugartyme" on landscape plan 02 attached. Planning application P21/V2583/HH.
