Council planning record

I am writing to ask permission for the removal of a pear tree, and for the thinning of an apple tree. The pear tree is being suffocated by ivy which has taken hold of the entire tree. The top of the tree is close to the electricity cable that supplies the house with power. We are concerned that unless the tree is removed, it could damage the power cable. Also the invasion of ivy means the tree is probably not viable in the long term The apple tree is very thick, and is overhanging the roof of part of the house, and encroaching on the road. Agricultural equipment needs to get down the road to the farm and the tree makes this difficult. Branches are breaking off each time these vehicles go through, which risks damaging the tree. We would like to have the tree thinned by 20% to remove the risk to the house, and to prevent it being damaged by vehicles on the road.
