G1 - a group of Western Red Cedars forming a hedge that is now overmature and unmanageable in the location. The trees are located very near, but not on, a drainage ditch that links into the Seacourt Stream and is important for local drainage. The root structures growing with the tree, and the spread of the tree at the base, is making ditch management considerably more challenging. The proposal is to remove the conifers and replace them with stock fencing and a hawthorn mix hedge in the same location, which can be more easily managed at a sensible height and width.
