Council planning record

The following tree works are proposed for the site in order to maintain the health and safety of the trees, as well as to encourage healthy growth and longevity of the remaining specimens. The proposed works have been determined following an assessment of each tree's current condition and health. The works are in accordance with best arboricultural practices. Individual Trees (T) 1. T1 - Atlas Cedar (Cedrus atlantica) Crown lift by half a metre (or one metre) to improve clearance and allow better air circulation. The tree is in good health and will benefit from this light pruning. 2. T2 - Lawson Cypress (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana) Complete removal of this tree due to its poor health and/or positioning. 3. T3 - Apple Tree (Malus domestica) Remove the apple tree due to poor health or non-viability. 4. T4 - Apple Tree (Malus domestica) Remove the second apple tree due to poor health or non-viability. 5. T5 - Pear Tree (Pyrus species) Reduce the height and spread of the pear tree by 2 metres all around to maintain a balanced form and control its size. 6. T6 - Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) Reduce the height and spread of the hawthorn tree by 2 metres all around to promote healthy growth and manage its size. 7. T7 - Whitebeam (Sorbus aria) Re-pollard the whitebeam to rebalance the weight distribution and prolong its lifespan. This will help maintain its shape, health, and vigour by reducing the risk of structural failure. Tree Groups (TG) 1. TG1 - Group of Maples (Acer species) Remove the maples located in the corner of the site, as they are no longer viable or have declined significantly. 2. TG2 - Group of Birches (Betula species) Remove the weakest of the three birch trees to allow the remaining trees more space to mature and grow stronger. 3. TG3 - Group of Robinias (Robinia pseudoacacia) Remove the weaker of the two remaining Robinias, leaving the healthier one to thrive with more space to grow. 4. TG4 - Group of Beech (Fagus sylvatica) Remove the two weaker trees from the first group of three to give the remaining tree more space to develop. 5. TG5 - Second Group of Beech (Fagus sylvatica) Remove the two weaker trees from the second group of three to ensure the remaining tree has more space to grow and strengthen. 6. TG6 - Third Group of Beech (Fagus sylvatica) Remove the weakest tree from the third group of three to promote the growth and health of the remaining trees. 7. TG7 - Group of Poplars (Populus species) Remove the two weaker trees in the group to allow the remaining tree more space and resources to mature. 8. TG8 - Lawson Cypress (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana) Remove both trees in this group as they are no longer suitable for the space. The area will be replanted with more practical species better suited to the location. 9. TG9 - Conifer Trees (species unspecified) Remove both conifer trees located in the corner of the back garden to improve growing conditions for the remaining vegetation.
