Council planning record

Not sure of the species of tree - type of Ash. It is on a small parcel of land. We ask for permission to fell the tree in it's entirety. It has hugely out grown it's setting and now is very out of place. It grows on the corner of a small parking space that we own. Hence the vast majority of the tree overhangs land outside of our property, including parts of adjacent dwellings. It effects people's light, and overhangs gardens and properties as well as a pubic footpath, which is used by children going to school. There is significant leaf, twig and small branch drop. It is abutting the fence and damaging a neighbours wall. Drains, gas pipes run under lane. Roots may affect these. It is causing a lot of anxiety to neighbours, who have written to us in support of it's removal, concerned about the threat it poses to properties. We have spoken with a tree surgeon (David Cottrell) who has also viewed the tree. He agrees it is extremely large for it's situation, has said there is also an issue of some bark inclusion. We would very much welcome a visit by the tree officer to view the tree in situ. We have an extremely small parking place, and consequently no land in which to plant a replacement tree, but would happily fund a replacement in the near vicinity.
