Council planning record

Yew (T1) - felling and stump removal. This is because 1) the tree has overgrown the area where it was planted and is too close to another Yew (T2). This has resulted in 2) obstruction to the neighbouring house's light and guttering, and electricity and telephone cables that run through the tree. Additionally 3) the tree berries and branches as they are poisonous are a series risk to livestock on the property. Yew (T2) - crown reduction and branch removal. This is because 1) the tree has overgrown the area where it was planted and is too close to T1, which has resulted in 2) dead branches on one size of the tree as a result of lack of light and has become unbalanced. The height will be dropped by 2m, and the span reduced over the garage by 2m. Over our neighbourâ¿¿s house (Nightingales) the branches are longer, so need to be reduced by about 3m. Please note that our tree surgeon has recommended taking T1 out now, but leaving the reduction on T2 until the spring to give the tree the best chance for fast regrowth. We will also plant another tree (Oak or Beech) in our woodland to replace T1.
