Application overview
The tree is a yew tree (TPO reference T91) which is situated within the grounds to the rear of 2A Carmel Terrace, Mongewell, Wallingford, Oxon, OX10 8BX. Since last beeing pruned in 2019, the canopy of the tree has continued to spread and is now compromising the amenity of the householder and neighbours. The proposed works are to repeat previous prunning as follows: 1. Reduce lateral spread on the north, east and west sides of the crown by approximately 1 - 1.5m. Pruning cuts are not expected to exceed 75mm. 2. Lift crown to a height of 2.5-3m above ground level by removing branch tips. Note: all pruning cuts to be at branch junctions leaving sufficient live growth to maintain or enhance crown form. The work will be carried out by a qualified tree surgeon.
