Council planning record

Rear garden Milton Cottage. (T1) Prunus (wild plum) - partially crown raise the lowest areas of the canopy by drop crotch and thinning cuts, to give 2m ground clearance. Also reduce the extended low NE limb and its associated foliage only, by 1-2m back in toward the boundary line again, by selective drop crotch thinning cuts to better contain the tree and reduce the lever effect. (T2) Fagus sylvatica f. p.: copper beech - Intended works are the provide a partial reduction of 1-2m to BS3998 pruning standard where possible and hedge trim back to the boundary on the Milton side. This will give a resultant canopy of 5-6m and also mitigate continued imbalance due the partial proximity to the boundary and building. (T3) Taxus (yew) â¿¿ a partial reduction of 1-2m on the Bramley garden side as well as partial trimming back to the boundary to aim to provide 1m building clearance is proposed. The resultant tree would be 8m high with a rounded canopy of 4-6m wide. (T4) Cupressus: Leylandii blue - requires partial pruning to aim to give 1m building clearance to Milton cottage and maintain clearance around the first floor windows, without stripping parts of the canopy bare where possible to maintain the natural look from Bramley cottage on its East aspect.
