Council planning record

3 pines. 2 of these are smaller trees that have windblown. Work is to remove stakes/guards, fell and replace with new planting. The larger tree is a standing dead stem where the top has failed and is resting against the main stem and covered in bramble. Main stem to be retained as standing deadwood, clear the bramble and remove failed top to make safe. All deadwood to be stacked at the base of the tree. Suggest replacement planting would be Common Lime 1 Ash. Fell to ground level. This tree is larger than the other trees in the copse and if failed would cause damage to existing planting. Given the prognosis for Ash it is suggest fell/dismantle and replace with 2 Oak. 12 Hawthorn. These are mature trees with dog rose climbing through some. Minor works to remove any significant deadwood (over 75mm) and light crown lift of tips to max 1.5m improve visa through copse. There is a mix of other planting of woody shrubs and trees in the copse and these will be lightly thinned to favour better specimens.
