Council planning record

T1) Large Poplar Findings Tree assessed from ground level visually and by sound resonance. One Large Poplar Tree, approximately 27m tall, approximately 15m crown width, situated on the boundary with "The Bears" Shepherds Green. Crown in exposed position with a large sail aria. Tree appears to have good vigour. Buttresses and lower stem no decay detected. At time of visit no fruiting bodies present to indicate fungal infection. Multiple hanging branches. Major Dead Wood present in crown. Ground is sodden with recent water logging. Tree has recently lost twin because of wind blow and root failure. T1) Large Poplar "A" Recommendations "Option A" Option "A" will dramatically reduce the trees sail aria, reducing the chance of complete or partial failure in high wind. Option "A" will also work best with the trees natural growth habit, and any further growth would be lass prone to fail. A sympathetic reduction will mean regrowth would be less vigorous opposed to a harder cut. The tree will need to be monitored, the reduction will last approximately 5 years before the tree has completed a full regeneration. Reduce Overall height by approximately 4-5m. Reduce side growth by approximately 3-4m. All arisings will be removed from site and recycled appropriately. The work place will be left in a clean and tidy condition.
