Application to remove a lime tree identified as T1 of Spalding Tree Preservation Order No.62 2003 within the rear garden of 'Ascalon'14 Westbourne Gardens,Spalding. The tree is a mature lime tree(Tilia x europaea)which is infected by the fungus Ustulina deusta. The fungal fruiting bodies are visible on the base of the tree trunk on the south-western side. The fungus causes extensive internal decay.
