Council planning record

Application to carry out works to trees the subject of Long Sutton TPO 19 1991. The trees are within Area One and Area Two of the above order within the garden of Holmehurst. Please see the aerial photograph attached to the decision notice for the approximate position of trees. Within Area Two: A. Beech, Fell due to extensive fungal fruiting bodies at the base (Ganoderma species)and other fruiting bodies growing out of broken limbs. There is great concern that the extensive nature of the fruiting bodies throughout the trunk of the tree indicate severe decay leading to potential weakness of the trunk. B. Sycamore, fell due to damaged base. C and D. Two sycamores on frontage, fell to allow more room for the remaining sycamore trees and frontage hedge to grow. E. Lime tree, Previously pollarded and re-grown. Reduce regrowth by one third, try to maintain the natural appearance by pruning to existing growth points. Within Area One: F. Walnut, Remove branches resting on shed roof and small growth reaching down to shed roof, to give clearance.
