Planning Application for the Extraction of White Lias Limestone at Slate Lane, West Camel, Somerset. Condition 20 requires that: ‘No winning and working of minerals shall take place until a scheme has been submitted to and approved by the mineral planning authority setting out measures to minimise noise impact. The scheme shall include: • no mechanical breaking of stone • plant and machinery shall be operated and maintained to minimise noise and fitted with silencers in accordance with the manufacturer's specification • no tonal reverse warning devices shall be used’.
