Refurbishment of the Grade II listed A Block of the Somerset County Council Campus. The proposed works comprise internal and external works as following: Internal works: -Removal and replacement of all building services -Making necessary upgrades to the buildings fire strategy to allow for an uplift in building occupancy. -Removal of non-original sanitary-ware fittings and replacement with new sanitary-ware for all washrooms which are complimentary to the original features. -Two additional Female WC’s and one Accessible unisex WC to all floors -Removal of internal partition walls where appropriate to create flexible open plan workspace -New suspended ceiling to the Committee rooms External Works: -Removal of ventilation fans/ducts from external windows and reinstatement of glazing. -The western chimney is to be extended to accommodate 3 x new boiler flues. The new boiler flues transfer externally via the existing level 03 clerestory glazing and terminate on the flat roof area.
