Discharge of Condition 12 requires the submission of details in respect of external artificial lighting that has been designed to limit impact on bats. The lighting design has been developed in consultation with the project ecologist who originally raised concerns regarding the use of 360 degree bollard lighting adjacent to the proposed wildlife area. The proposals were amended to show 180 degree bollard lighting in this location preventing any light spill (annotated at X6 on the submitted plan). In addition the proposed bollard lighting along the footpath that runs to the north of the retained oak tree (annotated X5 and X6) provides no upwards light spill which is beneficial to commuting bats.
