Planning conditions
  1. The front extension, by reason of its height, scale and bulk, together with its prominent siting forward of the established building line, represents a discordant, jarring, incongruous addition that fails to remain subordinate to the host property, resulting in harm to the character and appearance of the host property and the wider street scene. As such, the development represents poor design contrary to the National Planning Policy Framework 2024, Core Policy 8 of the Slough Core Strategy 2006 - 2026 (adopted 2008), Policies H15, EN1 and EN2 of the Slough Local Plan (adopted 2004) and the Slough Residential Extension Guidelines (adopted 2010).
  2. The development hereby refused was submitted with the following plans and drawings: - Ground Floor Plans, Drg No. 2000/PL/01 - Roof Plans, Drg No. 2000/PL/02 - Front Elevations, Drg No. 2000/PL/03 - Side Elevations, Drg No. 2000/PL/04 - Location and Block Plans, Drg No. 2000/PL/05
  3. It is the view of the Local Planning Authority that the proposed development does not improve the economic, social and environmental conditions of the area for the reasons given in this notice and it is not in accordance with the National Planning Policy Framework.
  4. against the decision of Slough Borough Council to refuse to grant planning permission
