CONSENT IS REFUSED FOR: 3 No. Red Fascias (as shown on 1:100 drawing on page 7 of Sapphire Signmakers document ref 48624 1A) 2 No. glazing signs (as shown on 1:50 drawing on page 8 of Sapphire Signmakers document ref 48624 1A) REASON FOR REFUSAL: These signs would have a detrimental impact upon the character and visual amenity of the area by way of their scale, design including oversized lettering, colours, cumulative contribution to an excessive amount of signage and the level of clutter they would create at the site, contrary to policy SDC1 of the Rugby Local Plan (2019). CONSENT IS GRANTED FOR: Main illuminated Fascia (Green) (as shown on 1:50 drawing on page 6 of Sapphire Signmakers document ref 48624 1A) 2 No. Projecting Signs (Green) (as shown on 1:10 drawing on page 9 of Sapphire Signmakers document ref 48624 1A) CONDITION 1: No advertisement is to be displayed without the permission of the owner of the site or any other person with an interest in the site entitled to grant permission. CONDITION 2: No advertisement shall be sited or displayed so as to:- a - endanger persons using any highway, railway, waterway, dock, harbour or aerodrome (civil or military), b - obscure, or hinder the ready interpretation of, any traffic sign, railway signal or aid to navigation by water or air, or c - hinder the operation of any device used for the purpose of security or surveillance or for measuring the speed of any vehicle CONDITION 3: Any advertisement displayed, and any site used for the display of advertisements, shall be maintained in a condition that does not impair the visual amenity of the site. CONDITION 4: Any structure or hoarding erected or used principally for the purpose of displaying advertisements shall be maintained in a condition that does not endanger the public. CONDITION 5: Where an advertisement is required under these Regulations to be removed, the site shall be left in a condition that does not endanger the public or impair visual amenity. CONDITION 6: Illuminance levels for the main fascia hereby approved shall not exceed 300 cd/m2 as shown on the application form receieved on 08.05.2026. REASON: 1 - 6 In the interests of public and highway safety.
  2. CONDITION: The development shall be carried out in accordance with the plans and documents detailed below: Location Plan OS Mastermap 1:1250 - Rcd 08.05.2026 P6 - Sapphire Signmakers document ref 48624 1A - in relation to main fascia and 2 No. projecting signs only - Rcd 08.05.2026 P9 - Sapphire Signmakers document ref 48624 1A - Rcd 08.05.2026 REASON: For the avoidance of doubt and to ensure that the details of the development are acceptable to the Local Planning Authority.
