Planning conditions
  1. CONDITION 1: No advertisement is to be displayed without the permission of the owner of the site or any other person with an interest in the site entitled to grant permission. CONDITION 2: No advertisement shall be sited or displayed so as to:- a - endanger persons using any highway, railway, waterway, dock, harbour or aerodrome (civil or military), b - obscure, or hinder the ready interpretation of, any traffic sign, railway signal or aid to navigation by water or air, or c - hinder the operation of any device used for the purpose of security or surveillance or for measuring the speed of any vehicle CONDITION 3: Any advertisement displayed, and any site used for the display of advertisements, shall be maintained in a condition that does not impair the visual amenity of the site. CONDITION 4: Any structure or hoarding erected or used principally for the purpose of displaying advertisements shall be maintained in a condition that does not endanger the public. CONDITION 5: Where an advertisement is required under these Regulations to be removed, the site shall be left in a condition that does not endanger the public or impair visual amenity. REASON: 1 - 5 In the interests of public and highway safety in accordance with Policy SDC1 of the Local Plan (2019) and paragraphs 141 and 116 of the National Planning Policy Framework (2025).
  2. CONDITION 6: The development shall be carried out in accordance with the plans and documents detailed below: Advert Signage Details drawings 1 to 6: Sign A – North Elevation – page 1 of 6 Sign B – East Elevation – page 2 of 6 Existing Elevations – page 3 of 6 Proposed Elevations – page 4 of 6 Block Plan – page 5 of 6 Site Plan Page 6 of 6 All received by the Council on 23/03/2026 REASON: For the avoidance of doubt and to ensure that the details of the development are acceptable to the Local Planning Authority, in accordance Policy SDC1 of the Rugby Local Plan (2019).
  3. CONDITION 7: The maximum luminance of the proposed internally illuminated sign on the eastern elevation shall not exceed 300cdm2 at any time. REASON: In the interest of Highway Safety and in the interests of visual amenity in accordance Policy SDC1 of the Rugby Local Plan (2019).
  4. CONDITION 8: The fascia sign located on the north elevation shall be non-illuminated and remain so in perpetuity. REASON: In the interests of visual amenity in accordance Policy SDC1 of the Rugby Local Plan (2019).
