Decision & conditions

Required and Refused
729133Decision_TEL_required_refused_24.pdf
Planning conditions
  1. REASON FOR REFUSAL: 1 The proposed 27.5m lattice mast, including 6no. antennas and 4 dishes on a headfram by way of its siting within the countryside, together with its height and lack of natural camouflage would result in an overly prominent, stark, incongruous feature within the landscape. This would have an adverse impact on visual amenity and the and character and appearance of the area. This is contrary to policy SDC1 of the Rugby Borough Council Local Plan 2011-2031 and Section 10 and Section 12 of the National Planning Policy Framework (2024).
  2. REASON FOR REFUSAL: 2 The proposed 27.5m lattice mast, including 6no. antennas and 4 dishes on a headframe will be positioned in close proximity too of the Water Tower. The Water Tower forms a non-designated heritage asset and the proposals would have an adverse impact on the setting and significance of this heritage asset. This is contrary to policy SDC3 of the Rugby Borough Council Local Plan 2011-2031 and Section 16 of the National Planning Policy Framework (2024).
