  3. Decided2016/0035/TPO

Contained within TPO Group: T2/42/W1.We would like to apply prune side branches from garden by no more than 2m off 1 x large Oak marked as a Triangle on the sketch map. Reason to clear branches and allow light into garden.Fell 1 large Ash Marked As A Square on sketch map. Reason the tree overhangs Number 43 but has very little foliage on a very long trunked tree. Pruning the large limb over number 43 in my opinion would leave the limb almost without branches as it is very sparse. Removing the limb completely would leave a large pruning cut on the trunk greater than 50% of its diameter . The tree is overextended due to phototropic growth and is completely enclosed by adjacent trees and as such would not be missed.

43 Stubbins Street Ramsbottom Bury Lancashire BL0 0NL

    Received 13 Sept 2016
  4. Decided2016/0036/TPO

Existing order TPO T2/109I request permission to remove T16 Poplar. It is excessively large and impeding the growth of a smaller more suitably sized Alder (T17). The Poplar roots are causing a nuisance by growing into the sewer pipes; we have had to contact the insurance to advise about how to protect the drains from blocking. Also the roots are causing the tarmac drive to distort. The canopy is very large and overhangs the garage and interferes with the telephone wires to both our house and the mill belonging to Wm Lawrence LTD of Grane RoadI request permission to prune T17 Alder to a more suitable shape following the felling of T16. I propose to encourage growth of the Alder shoots (already approximately 2m high) which have established closer to the roadside which will provide a prominent tree frontage to the road.
