Alter or Extend a Listed Building The proposal is for 1) The insertion of flue liners to the existing chimney flues. This requires the removal of sections of the chimney breast, the building-in of clay flue liners and the replacement of the brickwork and plasterwork. 2) The improvement of the ground and first floor structures. The existing first floor has excessive deflection and to avoid its disruption a new floor will be constructed over the present. The ground floor has no damp proof membrane or insulation and is of poor construction. This is to be replaced by a new insulated concrete slab with a DPM. 3) The repair/improvement of the internal plastered linings of the external walls. The plaster is fractured and decaying. The proposal is to reline the inner face of the external walls with plasterboard dry lining.
