Planning conditions
  1. The Sycamore T.1 continues to offer public visual amenity value to the surrounding area, the proposed felling is considered unacceptable in the circumstances, as it is not considered that the risk failure of the union, in the foreseeable future, is that great, given the stated risk rating is only ‘3 - Moderate’. Whereas, the highest risk rating within VTRA appears to be ‘NOT ACCEPTABLE’ with a risk rating, which appears to be either ‘1 - Very High’ or ‘2 - High’. It is recommended that alternative works are considered to reduce and reshape the upper crown to reduce the weight and sail of the crown on the union in question, to reduce the risk of future failure.
  2. It is recommended that alternative works are considered to reduce and reshape the upper crown to reduce the weight and sail of the crown on the union in question, to reduce the risk of future failure.
