Condition 10 – Carport elevations Prior to the construction of the carports to serve plots 751-760, full elevational details shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority. The carports shall be constructed in accordance with the approved plans. Reason: To promote the use of sustainable modes of transport and in the interests of highway safety, in accordance with LP13 of the Peterborough Local Plan (2019) and the National Planning Policy Framework (2024). The proposed carports length exceeds the minimum standard and are considered capable of accommodating a standard private vehicle. The Case Officer is satisfied that the proposed carports would integrate appropriately with the surrounding area and, by virtue of their design, siting and materials, would not harm the character of the streetscape or appear as a dominant feature. As such, the proposal would be in accordance with LP13 of the Peterborough Local Plan (2019). Therefore, subject to satisfactory implementation on site, the requirements of C10 have been met. Conclusion: The details submitted relating to condition 10 are deemed acceptable to the Local Planning Authority and comply with the submission requirements of the condition. Condition 10 is hereby discharged, subject to implementation in accordance with the approved details.
