The replacement of the internal ATMs

1. The proposal as submitted was not in accordance with local and national planning policy. The local planning authority have worked with the applicant in a positive and proactive manner based on seeking solutions to problems arising in relation to dealing with the planning application. Amendments were discussed and agreed with the applicant to bring the proposal into compliance with policy, and the application can therefore be approved in accordance with Paragraph 38 of the National Planning Policy Framework (2024).
2. Works to which this consent relates shall be begun no later than the expiration of three years beginning with the date of the decision notice. Reason: In accordance with the provisions of Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
3. The materials to be used in the construction of the external surfaces of the proposed new ATM shall match the existing building as shown on 'Ground Floor Plan Internal Existing and Proposed ATM Replacement’ (Drawing Number: NWB-PETERBOROUGH-NWSSTP24-P2-542138-INT-M&S-CONSTRUCTION-001-01, Rev 1), 'Ground Floor Plan Internal Existing and Proposed ATM Replacement’ (Drawing Number: NWB-PETERBOROUGH-NWSSTP24-P2-542138-INT-M&S-CONSTRUCTION-002-01, Rev 1), and 'Ground Floor Plan Internal Existing and Proposed ATM Replacement’ (Drawing Number: NWB-PETERBOROUGH-NWSSTP24-P2-542138-INT-M&S-CONSTRUCTION-003-01, Rev 1). Reason: For the Local Planning Authority to ensure a satisfactory external appearance, in accordance with Policy LP16, LP19 of the Peterborough Local Plan (2019), Section 66(1), Town and Country Planning Act (Listed Building and Conservation Areas) (1990), and Chapter 12 and 16 of the National Planning Policy Framework (2024).
4. The development hereby granted consent shall be displayed and maintained in accordance with the following approved drawings/documents: - Location Plan (Received on 25 March 2026) - Block Plan (Received on 25 March 2026) - Ground Floor Plan Internal Existing and Proposed ATM Replacement (Drawing Number: NWB-PETERBOROUGH-NWSSTP24-P2-542138-INT-M&S-CONSTRUCTION-001-01, Rev 1) - Ground Floor Plan Internal Existing and Proposed ATM Replacement (Drawing Number: NWB-PETERBOROUGH-NWSSTP24-P2-542138-INT-M&S-CONSTRUCTION-002-01, Rev 1) - Ground Floor Plan Internal Existing and Proposed ATM Replacement (Drawing Number: NWB-PETERBOROUGH-NWSSTP24-P2-542138-INT-M&S-CONSTRUCTION-003-01, Rev 1) Reason: For the avoidance of doubt and in the interests of proper planning.
