Planning conditions
  1. 1. No advertisement is to be displayed without the permission of the owner of the site or any other person with an interest in the site entitled to grant permission. 2. No advertisement shall be sited or displayed so as to: (a) endanger persons using any highway, railway, waterway, dock, harbour or aerodrome (civil or military); (b) obscure, or hinder the ready interpretation of any traffic sign, railway signal or aid to navigation by water or air; or (c) hinder the operation of any device used for the purpose of security or surveillance or for measuring speed of any vehicle. 3. Any advertisement displayed, and any site used for the display of advertisements, shall be maintained in a condition that does not impair the visual amenity of the site. 4. Any structure or hoarding erected or used principally for the purpose of displaying advertisements shall be maintained in a condition that does not endanger the public. 5. Where an advertisement is required under these Regulations to be removed, the site shall be left in a condition that does not endanger the public or impair visual amenity. Reason: In accordance with Schedule 3 of the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) (England) Regulations 2007 (as amended).
  2. This consent is for a period of five years beginning with the date of this decision. Reason: In accordance with the provisions of Article 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) (England) Regulations 2007 (as amended).
  3. The advertisement(s) hereby granted consent shall be displayed and maintained in accordance with the following approved drawings/documents. - Location Plan - Block Plan - Sign J1 – Free standing entrance feature – GA dwg no. 804252 01 Rev 01 - Sign J1 – Entrance feature – Base details – GA dwg no. 804252 01 Rev 01 - Sign A – 3.4m ‘Transit Centre’ Pylon – GA dwg no. 804252 01 Rev 01 - Sign A – Base Details – GA dwg no. 804252 01 Rev 01 - Sign 2 – Distance from road - Sign 1 – Distance from road Reason: For the avoidance of doubt and in the interest of proper planning.
  4. The luminance of the advertisement hereby granted consent shall not exceed 300 candela per square metre and shall be controlled at that level in accordance with the Institution of Lighting Professionals publication 'PLG05 The Brightness of Illuminated Advertisements' (or any such publication that revokes or replaces that publication with or without amendment). Reason: In the interests of highway safety and to protect residential amenity in accordance with Policies LP13 and LP17 of the Peterborough Local Plan (2019).
  5. The illumination of the signs hereby approved shall be non-intermittent. Reason: To avoid glare/dazzle which could lead to danger to highway users, in accordance with Policy LP13 of the Peterborough Local Plan (2019).
  6. The illumination of the sign hereby approval shall be made and maintained in perpetuity, to screen the source of illumination from any highway. Reason: To avoid glare/dazzle which could lead to danger to highway users, in accordance with Policy LP13 of the Peterborough Local Plan (2019).
  7. Subject to the imposition of the attached conditions, the proposal is acceptable having been assessed in the light of all material considerations, including weighing against relevant policies of the development plan.
