Decision & conditions

Planning conditions
  1. The proposed development fails to demonstrate that the proposed use would not be detrimental to highway safety. The proposal fails to provide parking spaces in accordance with Appendix C of the Local Plan (2019) and as such demonstrates insufficient parking provision for the HMO C4 Use. Further, given the constraints within this area, there is already limited off street parking for existing residents and visitors. This intensification of the site would result in competition for existing spaces which may result in vehicles parking in unsafe places to the detriment of highway safety. The proposal would be wholly unacceptable due to the detrimental impact on highway safety and would be contrary to LP13 of the Peterborough Local Plan and Section 9 of the National Planning Policy Framework (2024)(2025 as amended).
