Alterations and improvements to existing highways maintenance depot to include: 1. Extension of highways depot area into adjoining field to the north to provide open storage units, vehicle/lorry parking, recycling facilities, a transportable portacabin building, three 8.0 metre high cowled light columns, 2.4 metre high security fence and mixed landscaping (outline planning permission (C.03/06) for an extension to the north of the highways depot was granted in May 2006). 2. Erection of a 8.5 metre high curved "coverall" fabric canopy over existing salt storage area (located within existing highways depot area).
