This application relates to a lime tree on the pavement at 3 Victoria Crescent. The tree has a limb which has overgrown the wires providing telephone and internet service to our house - 10 Victoria Crescent. We have spoken to the owners of 3 Victoria Crescent who are in agreement that the limb should be trimmed and are happy for the work to go ahead. Since the tree is impacting our house, we are submitting the application and will organise the works. The tree in question is shown as "Lime Tree 4" in the attached sketch. As said above, there is one limb which has grown over the road and overgrown the wire from an adjacent telephone pole to our house. We are planning to have that limb trimmed/removed to protect the wires.

Application Reference Number: 25/00974/PFUL3 Date of Decision: 11/09/2025Condition Number(s): S1Conditions(s) Removal:The applicant is seeking to vary the previously approved scheme to allow the retention of a two-metre side extension and an enlarged front dormer that were not included in the original approval (ref: 25/00974/PFUL3). These elements are essential to provide a functional and well-proportioned internal layout, improving the usability of the kitchen and bedrooms and ensuring sufficient natural light and headroom in the upper floor. The applicant requests that the condition restricting extensions beyond the approved scheme be varied to allow the retention of a two-metre side extension and an enlarged front dormer as part of the development at 2 Elmdale Gardens. The revised condition would permit the side and front extensions as shown on the submitted drawings, while all other elements of the previously approved scheme (ref: 25/00974/PFUL3) remain unchanged.

Trees 1-12, Limes. Located along southern boundary adjacent to Mapperley Hall Drive. We wish to sectional fell all the trees to ground level and replant something like a Beech or Laurel hedge to replace the trees.Approximately 2 Years ago a Lime straddling the boundary and pavement was removed due to an advanced infection.Within the last couple of weeks a street Lime on Mapperley Hall Drive in very close proximity to the trees in this application failed due to a fungal rootball infection. The trees in this application have direct root contact with the diseased trees that failed and my client wishes them removed before they become unsafe and fall across road as did the street tree.

  18. Decided25/01772/PWC

This request is to remove a Holly tree (Ilex aquifolium) on the boundary of the named property. See site plan for reference. The property owners would like to remove this tree as it is very close to the house and boundary wall. They are concerned that it may cause an issue with the wall and is an obstruction to the neighbouring property. They would also like to construct an out-building/shed in the vicinity. To off-set the removal they propose to re-plant a tree further down the garden.

  19. Decided25/01774/PTPO

Remove x2 lateral branches for the installation of a portable cabin. The huge oak tree in the photos is at the bottom of Blackwood's by the gate .We have asked before to have a few branches removed as they were causing an issue to the house right next to the bottom boundary about 10 years ago now. That work was carried out .We hope to have a portal cabin lifted in to place on to the flat land next to the oak tree where a potral cabin once sat over 30 years ago.We need to trim back a few branches on this oak tree to allow the crane to lift in place a potral cabin which will be in place for around 6 months if the new build goes ahead. New build is in process with the council and the Youth fund . The photos provided show the two main branches that need to be trimmed back just to allow better access for the crane to lift the cabin in to place where the 2 people are standing .
