THE DISTANCE OF THE TREE TRUNK TO THE PROPERTY IS ESTIMATED TO BE APPROX 5 METERS. BROKEN OFF BRANCHES ARE DROPPING TO THE GROUND DAILY, WITH SIZE AND FREQUENCY OF THE DEBRIS INCREASING IN WINDY CONDITIONS. THE BRANCHES ARE LANDING IN FRONT OF THE GARDEN BACK DOOR (USED TO ACCESS THE BACK GARDEN).MAIN CONCERN IS THE SIZE OF THE TREE AND ITS PROXIMITY TO THE HOUSE AND FEAR IT MAY COLLAPSE ON TO THE PROPERTY AND ITS OCCUPANTS, IN STORMY WEAHTER CONDITIONS. WE ARE CALLING THE COUNCIL TO INSPECT IT AND NOT TO IGNORE OUR SAFETY (WE 2 CHILDREN AND PETS). THE DANGER IS REAL AND OUR CONCERNS SHOULD NOT BE DISMISSED. PRESERVING HUMAN LIFE AND REDUCING THE POSSIBILITY OF SEVERE DAMAGE SHOULD HAVE PRIORITY OVER THE TREE. THE RISK IS REAL TO US AND THE ACTION SHOULD BE TAKEN WITHOUT DELAY. 'ACTS OF GOD' CAN NOT BE FORESEEN HOWEVER WE CAN REDUCE POTENTIAL CATASTROPHIC CONSEQUENCES BY TAKING ACTION TO REDUCE THE SIZE OF THE TREE.
