  10. Decided26/P/1061/TPO

T1 - Beech tree - The tree currently has an acceptable level of risk associated with it as no failure associated characteristics were identified during the assessment. That being said it is recommended that the tree is crown reduced. As the tree has been previously reduced a re- reduction by no more than to the previous pruning points by drop crotch reduction is recommended. This would involve reducing the crown height and spread by 2-3 m by removing branches no larger than 100-120mm diameter to suitably sized growth points. This would help reduce chances of branch failure without causing excessive losses in photosynthetic material. In particular bringing down the ?shoulders? ( just out from centre top of tree) which would reduce lever forces on primary limbs by the greatest amount in this particular instance.

What these statistics cover

These figures describe applications collected by PlanningTrack for North Somerset Council, across all dates currently available. They are a partial dataset, rather than an authority-wide performance measure. The date range does not establish continuous historical coverage.

The approval percentage is approved records divided by approved plus refused records. Pending, withdrawn and unknown outcomes are excluded. No percentage is shown until there is an approved or refused record.
