    Creation of a short section of forestry access track to allow management of the woodland. The track will be constructed from water-bound crushed stone, following Forestry Commission specifications set out in Operations Note 25. The woodland includes mature larch, which has become infected with Phytophthora ramorum. A Statutory Plant Health Notice is being issues by Natural Resources Wales, requiring the trees to be felled to control the spread of this disease. There is currently no access into the woodland for timber harvesting machinery or lorries to remove the timber and this access is essential to allow the work to take place. The felled areas will be replanted with mixed native species, as detailed under Felling Licence no.FLA250/20-21. Access will be required on an ongoing basis for maintenance of the woodland.
