In addition, the proposed single storey rear extension accords with the local policy requirements (Policy CS4 and CS5 & DC1 of the Council's Local Development Framework). In particular, the proposed single storey rear extension is designed so that the appearance is complementary to the existing property and will not have a detrimental impact on the appearance of the existing building or wider street scene.
