REASON FOR APPROVAL This application is satisfactory in that the installation of CCTV cameras accords with the principles of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and, where appropriate, the Council has worked with the applicant in a positive and proactive way in line with the NPPF. In addition, the CCTV cameras accord with the local policy requirements of the Council's Local Plan. In particular, the CCTV cameras are designed and positioned so that their appearance will not be harmful to the surrounding area and so that it will not have a detrimental impact on any adjoining or nearby premises. The CCTV cameras will not prejudice the character of the local area or the wider area nor prevent adequate and safe access to the site.
