The proposed works fall within the scope of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended) and is not precluded by any other provisions and is therefore permitted development as it is within the scope of Schedule 2, Part 1, Class A of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended) The development shall not be undertaken other than in complete accordance with the drawings numbered received on 3 February 2023.

Any changes would therefore need either another Certificate of Lawfulness to be submitted or a full planning application or prior approval application depending on the nature / extent of the change.
You are advised that the development would need to comply with the conditions as provided for in The Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended) Schedule 2 Part 1 Class C ‘Other alterations to the roof of a dwellinghouse’ which details that development is permitted by Class C subject to the following conditions; • The alteration would not protrude more than 0.15 metres beyond the plane of the slope of the original roof (when measured from the perpendicular with the external surface of the original roof). • It would not result in the highest part of the alteration being higher than the highest part of the original roof; or • It would not consist of or include; the installation, alteration or replacement of a chimney, flue or soil and vent pipe, or the installation, alteration or replacement of solar photovoltaics or solar thermal equipment. • Roof lights are not permitted on a side elevation unless they are obscurely glazed and the window is non opening (unless the window which can be opened is more than 1.7 metres above the floor of the room in which the window is installed).
