The applicant is encouraged to seek pre-application advice prior to the submission of any future planning application.
  3. The proposed two storey rear extension when combined with the existing extensions and buildings at the site, would by the reason of their scale, design and roof form, add excessive bulk to the dwelling and result in an obtrusive, incongruous and insubordinate addition, to the detriment of the host dwelling and would have a discernible adverse impact on the appearance of the pair of semi-detached houses, and have a corresponding negative effect on the character of the surrounding area as well as having a serious and adverse effect on the visual amenity of the locality. Thus, it is contrary to Policy D3 of the London Plan, Policies LP26 and LP30 of the Local Plan and Housing Design SPD.
