FRONT: THREE Lime trees (T1, T2 & T4) CROWN REDUCTION ht by 3m from 15m to12m, Spread by 2m from 7m to 5m. Repollard where appropriate, remove epicormic & basil growt.REASON: Trees form part of roadside boundary, require routine cyclical maintenance to preserve their structural integrity, amenity value and safe clearance from nearby roads and buildings. REAR: ONE Common Hawthorn tree (T15) FELL to ground level. REASON: Tree shows signs of significant dieback and is in late maturity. A large cavity is present at the base, & included bark at key unions compromises structural cohesion. Tree has developed pronounced lean; displays poor form overall. Given its declining condition & location adjacent to pedestrian & vehicular access, removal is considered appropriate on safety & arboricultural grounds. ONE Ash tree (T16) FELL to ground level. REASON: Tree exhibits advanced signs of physiological & structural decline. Multiple fungal fruiting bodies consistent with Inonotus hispidus are present at the base & within the crown, indicating internal decay. A visible cavity is noted at the main union, compromising structural integrity. The tree has poor overall form & is assessed to pose a medium-term safety risk. Removal is proposed to prevent potential failure in a location of public use & allow for possible replanting with a more suitable long-lived species. TPO DC/17/103514
